Felgains supply handling and hygiene care equipment for public buildings and Changing Places to broaden accessibility for people with disabilities.
Changing Places is a national campaign to provide adequate toilet facilities to those with complex or multiple disabilities and their carers. Felgains have successfully designed and installed many facilities across the UK: in leisure facilities, transport terminals, shopping centres and other public environments.
Plus, our finance options for businesses can help you get equipment into your setting quicker.
As we enter our 40th year in 2017, we bring a wealth of experience with us. But we’re not complacent – we’re using that experience to challenge the status quo and shape the future of care.
With a culture of hard work and creativity, we’re a team of like-minded people who give 100% commitment to what we do.
Our passion runs deep and we strive to give professional service with a positive, problem-solving culture.
“A small note to thank you and everyone at Felgains for your support to build ten Changing Places in Essex. Coming into an established project, as you did, at late notice is no mean feat, and to do so and to do so and be so enthusiastic and expert with very tight timescales is very much appreciated. All the staff at Felgains were friendly and professional and brought a wealth of knowledge to a new venture.”L Mitchell, Project Director, Essex Cares
Implementing changes to improve accessibility to a public facility can be a daunting task, particularly when legislative compliance is required. We have a simple support strategy that we bring to such projects: design, create, enable.
The design stage involves collaborating with architects, contractors and other parties to understand your key goals and challenges through a series of design meetings and on-site visits. The aim is to combine your expertise in design and structure with our specialist knowledge in specifying healthcare equipment and the regulations involved. From there, our in-house design team begin creating concepts which are presented using CAD drawings as part of the full proposal.
When the specific requirements of the project have been covered – care needs, structural challenges and timescales – we can move forward to installation. Here, you can be confident that we have what it takes to run small and large projects alike, under the management of Gary Hurrell and his team, who holds NEBOSH General and CSCS qualifications. We’re also CHAS and ConstructionLine accredited and are ISO9001 registered. We can either offer a complete turn-key package alongside an experienced building company or can simply supply and install the equipment while working alongside other contractors on-site.
Once installation is complete, we provide detailed product training and can provide CPD training for professionals. For Changing Places, we also provide you with the instructional signage required under BS8300:2009. After handover, we remain on hand for the necessary servicing and maintenance and any problem-solving that might be required.
The desired result is a high quality toilet facility that puts the venue on the leading edge of accessibility. You’ll enjoy working with our very proactive team as they take the project from design & planning to installation and handover. We’re ready for your project!
