How Capable Is the New Robooter E60 GT Pro?

The Robooter E60 GT Pro has just landed, and it’s the most powerful Robooter chair we’ve ever driven. With dual 250-watt motors and a new control system underneath it, that’s a bold claim on paper — so we took it outside to find out what it’s really capable of, across promenades, town centres, beaches and woodland trails.

Built for power & speed

The headline upgrade on the GT Pro is its dual 250-watt motor setup, paired with an all-new control system. It’s the difference that shows up everywhere else in this test — in how the chair holds its line on a slope, how it copes with rough ground, and how confidently it moves through everyday obstacles. This isn’t an incremental update; it’s the most powerful drivetrain Robooter has put into a chair yet.

On flat, even surfaces like a seafront promenade, the GT Pro comfortably reaches speeds of up to 6 mph, and an optional cruise control mode takes the effort out of longer, steady stretches. If most of your journeys are pavements, prom walks or shopping precincts, this is where the chair feels most effortless.

Around town

Everyday urban driving is where the GT Pro’s omnidirectional front wheels really earn their keep. They allow the chair to turn on the spot — no three-point turns needed in tight aisles or narrow doorways — while still stepping over shop thresholds and managing kerbs of up to 60mm without drama. For anyone navigating high streets, shops and pavements with inconsistent kerb heights, that’s a meaningful practical advantage.

On the beach

We also wanted to see how the GT Pro handled ground that most powerchairs simply avoid. On firm sand, it performed without issue. Loose stones were a different story – here the GT Pro started to struggle, a useful reminder that “all-terrain” always has its limits, whatever the marketing might imply. We’d rather show you that honestly than oversell it.

On muddy trails, roots and meadows

Back on firmer natural ground, the pneumatic rear wheels and adjustable suspension came into their own, soaking up roots, ruts and long grass without trouble. This is where the E60 GT Pro is genuinely in its element – woodland trails, meadows and the kind of uneven ground that would rattle a lesser chair.

Slopes & gradiants

Gradients are usually where a powerchair’s motors are put to the real test, and this is where the GT Pro’s dual-motor system stood out most. It held its speed and control climbing a steep slope and around a corner, without missing a beat – exactly the kind of stability you want when the ground tilts against you.

Underpinning all of this is a battery offering 14 miles of range, alongside the adjustable suspension and omnidirectional wheels that carry through every test above. Together, they’re what keep the GT Pro moving confidently from smooth prom to rough trail and back again.

So, how capable is the E60 GT Pro?

On most surfaces, the answer is: seriously capable. It’s the most powerful Robooter chair we’ve driven, combining strong, controlled performance on pavements, kerbs, slopes and trails, with an honest limit on loose, unstable ground like shingle.
