How does the Felgains ImageFlow sliding platform work?

One of the unique features of the ImageFlow Patient Imaging Hospital Stretcher is the market-leading 490 millimetres of longitudinal slide on the mattress platform.

In this article, I will cover how the sliding platform works, and the benefits this feature brings to you and your imaging department.

So, how does it work?

To slide the mattress platform, simply lift this yellow handle and pull the platform towards you or push away from you.

Then lower the handle and the platform will lock in position again.

What is the benefit to you?

Combined with the U-shaped base, the sliding top movement gives you a total available imaging area of 2040 millimetres wide by 880 millimetres high.

The sliding top of the ImageFlow allows imaging staff to very quickly and accurately position the patient for imaging, without having to manually move the patient or manoeuvre the C-arm camera to the correct position.

By speeding up the process of positioning the patient, the ImageFlow makes imaging procedures faster and more efficient, improving the rate at which patients are seen in the department.

The sliding top also reduces the risk of injury to staff, minimising the associated costs and downtime.
