The Alerta Sensaflex 1000 is a general-purpose foam pressure relief mattress, suitable for those at high risk of developing pressure ulcers which is designed to replace your existing mattress. The Sensaflex 1000 provides excellent pressure care on a budget, and is made with castellated foam to provide relief to high risk pressure patients.
Castellated foam can help reduce shear and friction by allowing the surface to move with the user when transferring or shuffling forward. This type of foam also allows for ventilation and provides pressure reduction, combined with stability and a high level of comfort. The pressure mattress has a polyurethane coat and is easily wipe clean, also offering a vapour-permeable nylon cover with sewn seams and zip closure to three sides.
