    IR(ME)R (Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations) is UK legislation that ensures ionising radiation (e.g. X-rays and fluoroscopy) is used only when justified, optimised and kept as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP), while still achieving the required clinical outcome.
