• Description

  The Karma VIP2 Tilting & Reclining Wheelchair allows wheelchair users with weak trunk control to travel like everyone else. The tilt-in-space and reclining function provide the optimal pressure relief and positioning settings. And thanks to its foldable and lightweight design, it’s also car transportable. 

  • Tilt-in-Space: Allows the wheelchair user to change position throughout the day, which will redistribute and relieves pressure. This feature helps reduce the risk of developing pressure ulcer and prevent discomfort associated with prolonged sitting. The weight shifting system provides a steady smooth recline and a sense of security for the user when reclining.
  • Anti-Sliding Reclining System: Solves the problem of sliding by locating the reclining pivot point of the chair and bringing the user’s hip joint closer to it. This placement synchronises the motion of the body and the chair and minimizes the sliding and the shearing when reclining or sitting upright.
  • Adjustable and Detachable Armrests: Adjust the height of the armrests, with no tools required. Easily removable for transfers and transport.
  • Detachable Swing-away Footrest: Allows for easy transfer, on and off the wheelchair and detaches with no tools required.
  • Tension Adjustable Backrest: Use the adjustable Velcro straps to change the tension and conform according to the wheelchair user. This helps to prevent slouching and the hammock effect.
  • Clean, Comfortable, and Fresh: the removable upholstery is anti-microbial, breathable and washable.
  • Crash Tested: The VIP2 is approved for transportation in accordance with ISO 7176-19. This means it is suitable to be used as a seat in a motor vehicle for transport.
