What options are available for the TransitFlow Portering Chair?

When choosing a portering chair for your Trust, it’s important to consider what optional accessories are available, to allow you to configure a chair that meets your exact needs and requirements.

In this article, we look at the most common options that are available to purchase with the TransitFlow Portering Chair, as well as looking at how much these options cost.

Let’s dive right in.

IV Poles

The TransitFlow comes with two options for IV Poles – a fixed IV pole, or a removable option.

Most Trusts tend to choose the fixed option, due to removable parts being more likely to go missing, however a removable IV pole does allow staff to remove it and make the chair more compact in situations where it isn’t necessary.

Coin lock system

The optional coin lock system can either be purchased for use with a £1 coin or a specific token, depending on which your Trust prefers.

Implementing a coin lock system means your staff can easily secure the chairs at the end of a shift or overnight, resulting in better stock control and reduced risk of theft.

Cylinder holder

The cylinder holder is a commonly purchased accessory for the TransitFlow.

The TransitFlow’s optional cylinder holder is easily adjustable to suit all sizes of oxygen cylinders.

Leg rest

If a patient has suffered from a broken leg, then the leg rest for the TransitFlow would be an appropriate option.

The leg rest fits easily to the chair and allows the patient to elevate their leg while being transported.

How much do these options cost?
