This £65 million project was built to provide both applied and vocational training for up to 2,000 16-19 year olds.

This design & build project was a collaboration between Suffolk County Council, 14 regional education institutions and the Learning & Skills Council (LSC) and achieved a ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating, featuring solar water heating, rainwater harvesting and an inter-seasonal Heat Transfer system, which collects thermal energy from under a large bus drop-off area and stores this in 100 metre deep boreholes outside the building perimeter.

Felgains were pleased to supply and install care equipment for six hygiene rooms including:

6 XY Robin ceiling track hoist systems
3 Changing benches
5 Advance mobile hoists

A wheelchair lift in the vehicle workshop and many other items of ancillary care equipment were also provided. The result: a cutting edge sixth form college!
