Product Information

  • The VENDLET Standard is the new patient turning system for turning, positioning and proning patients in acute care and hospice environments.

Proning a patient in an acute environment takes between 7 and 9 nursing staff each time. The VENDLET Standard can both make this quicker and reduce the number of nursing staff required down to just 2 or 3, providing significant cost and resource savings for acute hospital wards and hospice environments.

The VENDLET Standard operates in much the same way as the other systems in the VENDLET family. At the touch of a button, the roller bars will rotate to move the patient from a supine to a side-lying or prone position, or manoeuvre them around the bed for care and entry or exit.

The motors on the VENDLET Standard are enclosed in the corner posts, so no actuators are required. The new motor system and design ensure quieter operation and a more hygienic system that is easier to maintain and autoclavable. Each corner has an emergency tag to lower the siderails if CPR is required, or if for any reason power to the bed is lost.

The system complies with BS60601-2-52, acting as a compliant siderail. The VENDLET Standard comes fitted to the Actilit Acute Bed to create a complete solution for acute environments – click here to find out more about the Actilit. The Standard can also be supplied with the Twin acute bed for a higher maximum user weight and additional clinical functions in certain situations.

The quick tag system ensures the cotton sheets are easy to add to and remove from the roller bars. Disposable sheets can also be supplied if required.

The VENDLET Standard complies with the European Medical Devices Regulation (MDR) and has been tested more intensively than any other VENDLET system at the German test institute TÜV – this places very high demands on functionality, service life and safety.
